How did you get into running?

My husband got me into running a few years ago when I realized I wasn’t as active as I used to be. Before I knew it, I was hooked!

What inspired you to volunteer as a pacer?

Without a doubt, the best part about pacing for ARC are the friendships I’ve created with like-minded people who share my enthusiasm for a healthy and active lifestyle. Because of A Runner’s Circle, I’ve formed incredible friendships and have the opportunity to meet new runners of all levels every week.

Greatest running achievement

Thanks to a good friend who happens to be an ultra runner, I have been able to achieve distances I could never have imagined. One of my most memorable runs was finishing a challenging 25K trail run with friends. While I am not an ultra runner, I do believe that by continuing my endurance training, I will be one day soon.

Favorite Quote?

“If you run, you are a runner. It doesn’t matter how fast or how far. It doesn’t matter if today is your first day or if you’ve been running for twenty years. There is no test to pass, no license to earn, no membership card to get. You just run.”
