How did you get into running?

I got into running by a friend who talked me into running the Glendale Downtown Dash in 2010.  We started training with the All About You ladies and then after the race, we continued running with Lululemon in Glendale.  After a while, we both quit and went on to other things.  Last May, 2011, I bought a pair of shoes from A Runner’s Circle and was told about the Thursday Fun runs…the rest is history.  I’ve been running with them ever since.

What inspired you to volunteer as a pacer?

The best part about pacing for ARC is meeting new people, helping them get familiar with the Fun Run, and the camaraderie of the other pacers.

Greatest running achievement

My greatest achievement in running has been running my two half-marathons that I have done in under 3 hours (PR). Remember, I JUST starting running less than a year before I completed my first 1/2 marathon! Now I’m training for one, possibly two more this year.

Favorite Quote?

“I tell our runners to divide the race into thirds.
Run the first part with your head,
the middle part with your personality
and the last part with your heart.”
